VAL CHISONE, VAL PELLICE e VAL DI SUSA - Piedmont (Italy)
The Val
Chisone, Val Pellice and Val di Susa, located in Piedmont’s
Cottian Alps (northern
Italy
),
offer an enormous array of marvellous routes. There are old military
trails
that lead to castles and fortresses, and countless tracks that unfold
at an
altitude of over 2000 metres, offering spectacular views of the tallest
peaks
of the
Western Alps
,
along with a chance to
explore the past. Nowhere else in the
Alps
can
you test your skills with such demanding elevation changes or break
altitude
records as in this region. Some of the routes go up to 3000 metres and
end at
the foot of glaciers. Climbing these heights requires adequate physical
preparation – the air is thin – as well as a love
of adventure! Other tracks
wind their way along unsurfaced roads on mountain ridges, for a
marvellous view
of the valleys below. What more could you want for an unforgettable
holiday on
your mountain bike?
